Have fun reading!
As a teacher, I love to read books that my students are interested in too.
I also recommend the “Artemis Fowl” books. I have only read the first one and I thought it was good fun.
My favorite young adult series (tied with Harry Potter, of course) is ‘His Dark Material’ by Philip Pullman. It is a trilogy: The Northern Lights (it was also called The Golden Compass for the U.S. and was made into a movie), The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass.
I think you’d love to read the Ranger’s Apprentice series by John Flanagan. Go for it. Also, check out the cool website to match.
Sincerely,
The Dear LibrariAnn
Hi,
These books are of a different genre to the ones mentioned above, but I really do recommend them.
Holes by Louis Sachar
A fantastic story based in a “prison” for teenage boys in America. My class absolutely loved the book and would get angry with me when I stopped reading it!!!
Boy Overboard by Morris Gleitzman
The story of a family from Afghanistan who flee the country and try to get to Australia. Lots of football-related stuff in here too as well as a very real and exciting journey.
Let me know if you read one of them!
Mr. Sam Sherratt
Hi Riccardo,
Many of my middle school students have been reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. I’m actually reading them myself. They are very funny, and I would highly recommend them if you like a good laugh. They are not the most challenging books, but they are fun to read!
Hey Riccardo,
My nameis Eric. I know a good book that you could read if you were interested. It is called The Lightning Thief, by Rick Riordan. It is an adventure book about greek mythology in modern times, I love the subject and he is a great writer.
There are 5 books in that series. Also, my class has a stop-motion project called The Longfellow Ten where we create films about literary terms. Here is the link enjoy:

Let me know if you read The Lightning Thief. I’d like to know what you think about it.
What’s up Riccardo? My name is James and I have a book to recommend to you. It is called “Alligators in the Sewer and 222 other Urban Legends” by Thomas J. Craughwell. This book is absolutely hilarous. It is a collection of the best and funniest urban legends. In one there was a guy who tied weather ballons to his chair and soars up into the air with a phone a pellet gun and a knife. If you want to find out what happens, get the book!
I love Eragon too.
